Shiv Sena UBT Demands Timely Salaries for Aapli Bus Employees

Nagpur: Leaders and workers of Shiv Sena (UBT) staged a protest at the headquarters of the Nagpur Municipal Corporation alleging that employees working under the city’s ‘Aapli Bus’ service are not being paid salaries as per rules and on time.

The agitation was led by Shiv Sena leader Nitin Tiwari, who accused the civic administration of ignoring the financial hardships faced by bus service employees.

During the protest, Shiv Sena workers raised slogans against the municipal administration and demanded immediate release of pending salaries along with regular and timely payment of wages to all employees associated with the public transport service.

The protesters alleged that many workers employed in the ‘Aapli Bus’ service have been facing severe financial difficulties due to delays in salary disbursement, affecting their families and daily livelihoods.

Speaking during the agitation, Nitin Tiwari said the employees of ‘Aapli Bus’ play a crucial role in maintaining the city’s public transport system and ensuring smooth commuting services for citizens. However, despite their contribution, they are allegedly being forced to struggle for their rightful salaries.

“It is unfortunate that employees who keep the city’s transport system running are compelled to fight for regular wages. The civic administration must take the matter seriously and resolve the issues of employees immediately,” Tiwari said.

The protest created a tense atmosphere for some time at the NMC headquarters premises as activists continued sloganeering against the administration.

Sources said municipal officials later held discussions with the protesters and assured them that their demands would be considered positively and appropriate steps would be taken regarding the salary issue.
