Nagpur: Over 1.5 lakh enthusiastic spectators thronged Mankapur Stadium in Nagpur to witness the awe-inspiring Shaurya Sandhya Bharatiya Sena – Prerna Ka Prateek event held from February 2 to 4, 2024.
The exhibition, inaugurated by Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, and General Manoj Pande, Chief of Army Staff, showcased the cutting-edge capabilities and pride of the Indian Army.
Visitors had the unique opportunity to explore state-of-the-art armored vehicles like T-90s tanks, BMP-II, advanced artillery guns such as K9 VAJRA, PINAKA missile launchers, and DHANUSH artillery guns. The ultra-modern Infantry and Special Forces Soldiers exhibited their latest weapons equipped with advanced technology, leaving the audience in awe.
The dynamic display featured a spectacular flypast by Advanced Light Helicopters, daring stunts by the Indian Army Daredevils on motorcycles, martial displays, and a mesmerising musical event by the Army Symphony band.
Additionally, the event showcased thrilling performances by a Skydiving team, Para motors, and a silent warrior (Army Dog Show), captivating the diverse audience that included school children, NCC cadets, patriotic citizens of Nagpur, military personnel, and civil administration officials.
With nearly 1 lakh people visiting the Army exhibition & display at Mankapur Stadium in a single day and an overall footfall of 1.5 lakh in three days, the event resonated with the theme of ‘Know Your Army.’ The interactive nature of both the Dynamic and Static Display segments allowed attendees to engage with the Indian Army, fostering a better understanding of their commitment to safeguarding borders and contributing to nation-building.
Gen Sanjay Kumar Vidyarthi expressed heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming support from the Nagpur citizens and particularly the media community. He emphasised the Army’s unwavering dedication to staying at the forefront in serving the nation, continuing its endeavour to be the Pride of the Nation.
