Pune: NCP (SP) chief Sharad Pawar has been admitted to Ruby Hall Clinic in Pune after experiencing a bout of coughing and fatigue. Doctors had advised hospitalisation for medical assessment, and a series of tests are expected to be conducted, according to sources.
His health concerns have also led to the cancellation of a scheduled visit to drought-affected areas. Pawar was expected to continue his field visits in Solapur district, but the programme was called off following the medical advice and unfavourable weather conditions.
Pawar had travelled to Solapur district over the weekend, visiting Tulshi village in Madha taluka on Saturday, October 31, and Dudhali village in Pandharpur taluka on Sunday, November 1. The visits were part of his outreach to the areas facing drought-related difficulties.
Further details about his health are awaited.
