Nagpur: In a major action, Hudkeshwar police and Crime Branch busted a sex racket being run by five persons, including two women, and arrested three of the accused. The two kingpins of the ring managed to go absconding and are being hunted. Two minor girls, one of them being Bangaladeshi, have been rescued by the raiding cops.
According to details, the accused Shailendra alias Anand Nandlal Khalni (37), resident of Ramna Maruti, Gadge Layout, Vipin alias Sachin Sidharth Uike (25) of Dattawadi, Pravin and Dolly, lured the two minor girls with providing household works with good money. Once in their trap, the four accused detained the girls and pushed them into flesh trade.
The fifth accused Suchita Sadashiv Vinchurne (35) made available her Dighori-based house as brothel. The detained minor girls were being ferried by cars and brought to the house of Suchita for flesh trade.
On being informed of the sex racket, the Hudkeshwar cops swung into action and arrested three of the five accused. However, the two masterminds of the ring managed to escape the dragnet and went absconding. The two minor girls were rescued and sent to children’s remand home.
The arrested three accused have been booked under Sections 370(a), 34 of IPC read with Sub-Sections 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 of Prevention of Illegal Trafficking Act 1956 and Sub-Sections 4, 8, 12 of Protection of Children From Sexual Offences Act.
The action was taken under the directives of DCP Deepali Masirkar (Crime), DCP Ranjankumar Sharma by a team led by Senior PI Deepak Khobragade.
