On June 22 at around 10-30 in the jurisdiction of Koradi police station, in the lake behind Koradi Mandir, dead body of one Nilkanth Chintaman Thavkar, 47, a resident of, Khapri was found floating on the surface. Police had recorded it as accidental death.
But after investigation and telephonic talk with complainant, Harpal Chintaman Thavkar, it came forward that accused 1) Moreshwar Kadu 2) Anil Kadu 3) their mother 4) two sisters 5) two sons-in-law had severely beaten Nilkath. After the incident, Nilkanth said that he was humiliated in front of all villagers so he has no desire to live and thus saying he committed suicide.
On the report of the complainant, police sub-inspector, Gite of Koradi police station has registered offence under sections 306, 506, 34 of IPC.
