Senior Police Officials reshuffled

: Based on the Section 2 (N) (2) of Maharashtra Police (Second Amendment) Act, 2014, capable Indian Police Service Officers have been transferred to new positions.

Joint Commissioner of Police Rajwardhan has been transferred to Mumbai and will take charge as Special Inspector General of Police (Prisons), Mumbai.

The Senior Police Officials who have been transferred include the following.

Madhukar Pande IPS who is presently the Police Commissioner of Railways Mumbai is transferred to Navi Mumbai and will take over as Joint Police Commissioner of Navi Mumbai. (This position of Additional Police Commissioner has been enhanced to Inspector General of Police).

Niket Kaushik IPS who is presently holding the charge of Special Inspector General of Police Anti Terrorist Squad, Mumbai is now given the charge of Police Commissioner Railways, Mumbai.

Santosh Rastogi IPS is now given the charge of Joint Commissioner of Police Nagpur after returning back from Central Government Deputation.

Rajwardhan IPS who is presently the Joint Police Commissioner of Nagpur Police has been given the charge of Inspector General of Prisons, Mumbai (Vacant Post)
