Nagpur: A 60-year-old man sustained critical injuries after a speeding car rammed into his scooter near the Gorewada Zoo gate on Katol Road, under the jurisdiction of Gittikhadan Police Station, on the morning of October 22, 2025.
The injured, identified as Vijay Pandey (60), a resident of Plot No. 7, Netaji Housing Society, Manakapura, Nagpur, was riding his Bajaj Chetak (MH-31 FW 7298) towards Mahrurzhari when a black Keta car (MH-12 UM 0088), reportedly driven at high speed and in a rash and negligent manner, collided with his vehicle. Pandey suffered a severe head injury and was immediately rushed to Sims Hospital, where he remains under treatment.

Based on a complaint filed by Prajkta Vijay Pandey (32) and the medical legal case (MLC) report, Gittikhadan Police have registered an offence under Sections 281, 125(A), and 125(B) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), read with Section 184 of the Motor Vehicle Act. Further investigation into the incident is underway.
