SECR Nagpur holds meeting to discuss construction of various projects

The construction department of South East Central Railway (SECR)  on November 7, 2015 held a meeting at Mandal Sabhakaksha to discus various projects to be constructed.

The meeting was presided by SECR General Manager, Satyendra Kumar while welcome-address was made by Chief Administrative Officer, SECR Bilaspur, S K Singla.

Present in the meeting included DRM, Nagpur Alok Kansal, CE (Construction) A K Pande, CE (Construction) T S Khavas, CEE (Construction) K V Madavi, Financial Advisor and CAO (Construction) S Vivekanand, Chief Signal and Telcom Engr (Construction), Bilaspur Ranjit Narayan and about 50 representatives of various firms.

Indian Railways is going to invest Rs 8.56 lakh crores in the field of construction during next five years. Under this scheme, this year  only one lakh crore is to be invested. Under SECR Zone, Rs 7500 crore are to be spent on construction works during 2-3 years.

In his address, GM Kumar said, for completion of various projects a common tender would be issued for civil, electrical and signaling works so that the works might be got completed soon.

He further said that required funds would be released time to time, and appealed to all heads to get jobs done in time.
