Nagpur – The second edition of the Criticare Convention, an annual academic event on critical care, successfully took place at Hotel Tuli Imperial, Ramdaspeth. This year’s theme, “Bleeding Patient in ICU,” focused on critical aspects of diagnosing, evaluating, and treating bleeding patients in intensive care units.
Launched in 2023 to mark the 15th anniversary of Criticare Hospital and Research Institute, under the leadership of Dr. Deepak and Dr. Deepti Jeswani, the convention is becoming a key annual event for intensivists and clinicians. It aims to equip intensive care specialists in rural areas of Central India with the knowledge needed to treat patients in resource-limited settings.
The convention, held in affiliation with the Association of Physicians of India (API), Vidarbha Chapter, featured renowned medical professionals from across the country, including Dr. Sameer Melinkeri (Pune), Dr. Bharat Jagiasi (Mumbai), and Dr. Ravindra Ghawat (Thane), among others.
With over 200 delegates from Central India in attendance, the event offered a valuable platform for learning and networking. The scientific program was designed by a committee led by Dr. Swapna Khanzode and Dr. Aamol Meshram, with guidance from API Vidarbha Chapter Chairman, Dr. Nikhil Balankhe, and Secretary, Dr. Sudhir Chafle.
The convention proved to be an important step in advancing critical care knowledge and expertise in the region.
