Nagpur: Yet another young life was sniffed out in road accident in city. A 12-year student of Guru Govind Singh High School, Kamptee Road, was crushed to death by a speeding Matador near Kadbi Chowk in Jaripatka police jurisdiction on Wednesday afternoon.
A resident of Lashkaribag, Abhijeet Naresh Deshbhratar (12) was returning home on a bicycle from his school around 3 pm. As he reached near Kadbi Square, a rashly-driven Matador (MH- 12/RA-8254) hit him from behind in front of Ansari Honda Garage. As a result, Abhijeet fell on the road and came under the wheels of the truck. He died on the spot due to fatal injuries. Cops rushed to the spot and sent the body to Mayo Hospital for post-mortem.
Jaripatka police constable Kamlakar, on the basis of a complaint lodged by Naresh Deshbhratar (42),father of the deceased, arrested the Matador driver Dnyaneshwar Mangalji Mohankar (50), a resident of Parseoni, under Sections 279, 304(A) of the IPC. Further probe is on.
