Nagpur: Acting on a tip-off, a special squad of Crime Intelligence Unit (CIU) Zone 3 police on Monday raided Mominpura based grocery shop and seized scented tobacco and gutka products, collectively, worth Rs 1.06 lakh.
Cops have booked Sarik Jaman Mohammad Gaus (32), a resident of Shadi Hall, Takiya Diwanshah in this connection.

According to police sources, Gaus used to buy tobacco products from Seoni, Madhya Pradesh would sell them in the Second Capital of the State. He was doing this illicit trade from last two years. On Monday, special squad of Zone 3 DCP Gajanan Rajmane received secret input. Following which the action was planned in Mominpura under Tehsil Police Station.
Under the guidance of DCP Rajmane and Senior PI Jitesh Aarveli, the squad of PSI Siddhant Maske, Food Distribution Officer Vinod Dhawad, Piyush Manwatkar, NPC Aashish Aambade and others initiated the action.
