Nagpur is known for Oranges but in the recent times the city has earned dubious distinction of being the bustling den for ponzi schemes robbing gullible investors of their hard earned money.
Expressing these views, social activist Jammu Anand said that the city has become a hub for dupers and scamsters. A committee has been formed by the investors duped from various companies to serve as platform to air their protest. A press conference was organised at Tilak Patrakar Bhawan on Saturday in this regard. The first meeting of this committee has been organized at Vidarbha Rashtrabhasha Bhawan, near Sewa Samedan school on July, 20, 2014 at 2 PM. The members appealed the investors to come and participate in the meeting in large numbers
Anand said that in past few years many illegal investment companies cropped up like mushrooms. These investors lure the common public and investors by telling them that they will double the amount and trap these investors by offering huge interests.Pramod Agarwal, Jhamre Bandhu, Samir-Pallavi Joshi, Wasankar, Rajesh Joshi are few notorious names who have actually looted thousands of people by luring them into their trap while the police machinery act mute spectators.
Raising questions on the system Jammu Anand claimed that why the politicians are not taking any steps and making policy against these illegal investors? He said that there are clear signs of involvement of these so called leaders in all these matter. “may be these powerful politicians are also a part of such investment companies and they are trying to turn their black money white with these companies” claimed Jammu Anand. After getting a big amount from the investors,these illegal investment companies declare them bankrupt and the common investors run from pillar to post without any yield.
For all these reasons a Committee is formed so that these duped investors can get a platform to share and discuss issue and get solutions.
