Nashik: Traffic on the Samruddhi Mahamarg will be temporarily stopped at different stretches between Sinnar and Igatpuri from August 31 to September 7 for the installation of CCTV gantries under the Intelligent Traffic Management System (ITMS).
The restrictions will be implemented in two phases.
Sinnar–Bharvir: Traffic will be stopped on August 31, September 1 and 2. Mumbai-bound vehicles will face restrictions from 12 noon to 1 pm, while Nagpur-bound traffic will be stopped from 3 pm to 4 pm.
Bharvir–Igatpuri: Traffic restrictions will be imposed on September 4, 5 and 7, during the same time slots — 12 noon to 1 pm for Mumbai-bound traffic and 3 pm to 4 pm for Nagpur-bound traffic.
The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) has received permission from the highway police for the work and has urged motorists to plan their journeys accordingly.
