Sales Tax Bhavan is now Goods and Service Tax Bhavan
Nagpur: In view of Goods and Service Tax (GST) coming into force from July 1, the name of imposing building of Sales Tax has been changed to Goods and Service Tax Bhavan. A function to formally change the nomenclature will be held at 11 am on Saturday (July 1) at Sales Tax Bhavan situated opposite High Court in Civil Lines.

The unveiling of name board as Goods and Service Tax Bhavan and a welcome function of launch of GST will be held in the presence of Nagpur Range Additional State Tax Commissioner B P Bhalchim. State Tax Joint Commissioners P K Agrawal and V D Kamthewar will also be present on the occasion.

A special Helpdesk has been set up by Goods and Service Tax Department for resolving difficulties the traders might face with the implementation of GST.
