Nagpur: A Sales Manager of a company dealing in medicines has been booked by Wadi police on the charges of cheating and misappropriating an amount of Rs 5.5 lakh.
The accused Ajay Jaiswal (35), resident of Kamptee, was working as Sales Manager in Piramal Enterprises, situated at 54P, Agrawal Estate in Wadi area. The accused Ajay, in a breach of trust, duped the company by way of selling the medicines in market instead of delivering the stuff to proper traders. The accused prepared bogus receipts and showing them as genuine misappropriated the company’s money to the tune of Rs 5,45,091. When the fraud came to the notice, a complaint with Wadi police was lodged by Sachin Vasant Posattiwar (45), resident of Pranhita Apartment, Khare Town, Nagpur.
API Gaekwad registered an offence against the accused Ajay Jaiswal under Sections 406, 420, 468, 471 of IPC and investigating the matter further.
