Freshly released Marathi movie Sairat has been making waves by not only taking the Maharashtra audience by storm but also emerged as the biggest ever box office earner in Marathi cinema. While the Bollywood actors are going gaga over the movie, it has also driven an expected attention towards Maharashtra Minister Subhash Desai, who is getting bombarded with phone calls by fans of actress Rinku Rajguru. The reason – some hacker allegedly posted his mobile number on her website as that of her.

“It must be the handiwork of some hackers, who posted my number on the actress’ website. She has no role in this,” Desai told a news agency. The Industries minister said, “I have to keep my phone switched off for some time, but the calls and SMSes keep coming.”

Rinku, who hails from Akluj in Solapur district of Maharashtra, received a special mention from the jury for her stellar portrait of ‘Archie’ in hit Marathi movie ‘Sairat’, at the National Awards this year.
Sairat, directed by Nagraj Manjule, has so far grossed around Rs 40 crore and is on way to becoming among the biggest blockbusters in Marathi cinema.

While Bollywood actors Riteish Deshmukh and wife Genelia D’Souza praised the film to no end, joining the list is now one of the Khans to appreciate the film. Tweeting, “I’m heartbroken, still recovering from the shock of the end,” Aamir Khan urged his followers to watch the film.

The forthcoming romance film follows the story of Parshya, a low-caste man and Archie, a rich daughter of an upper caste landlord, who fall in love despite pressures from society. The film stars Akash Thosar and Rinku Rajguru and is a debut release for both the actors.
