‘Sairat’ heroine Rinku takes Hilltop, Nagpur by storm as she visits Ekta Ganesh Mandal

Nagpur: Rinku Rajguru, who gained nationwide fame for her portrayal of Archi, the female lead in Marathi blockbuster ‘Sairat’, took the Hilltop area of the city by storm, virtually. Rinku arrived in the city on Friday and took ‘darshan’ of Lord Ganesh installed at Hilltop-based “Mantralaya.”

The NCP MLC Prakash Gajbhiye and Ekta Ganesh Mandal have jointly erected 151-foot replica of Mantralaya during the 10-Day festival. Rinku along with her father Mahadeo Rajguru and brother of Sairat Director Nagraj Manjule visited the Hilltop area and sought blessings of Vighnaharta. Prakash Gajbhiye and former State Minister Anil Deshmukh welcomed the Sairat heroine. Rinku was also felicitated on the occasion by Gajbhiye on behalf of Ekta Ganesh Mandal.

The visit by the Marathi movie sensation took the Hilltop area by storm as thousands of her fans and other curious people thronged the place to have a glimpse of the heroine. The crowd was so massive that the roads leading to the Ekta Ganesh Mandal had to be barricaded and a posse of policemen deployed to control the surging crowd. Many fans climbed up the trees and buildings to have a look of their heartthrob, Rinku Rajguru.

‘Sairat’ has become the highest grossing film in the history of Marathi cinema by entering the ‘Rs 100-crore club’. Rinku has become a household name in Maharashtra after the grand success of the film.
