Nagpur: Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) has postponed BCom 2nd, 4th and 6th Semester examinations of Summer2024. These examinations were to begin from May 8 and May 9, 2024.
Summer examinations of RTMNU are going on. However, the Chartered Accountant examination has added to the difficulties being faced by students. With CA examination dates clashing with the dates of B.Com examinations, the university has decided to postpone its own examinations. It has been decided to postpone the exams of second, fourth and sixth semesters starting from May 8 and 9.
Most students enrolled in the course are preparing for the Chartered Accountant examinations. Many students opt B.Com so that they would prepare for CA, the qualifying examination for the Chartered Accountant from the first year onwards. There was an apprehension among the students that if the university did not change the schedule, they would miss one of the examinations.
The B.Com examinations of the university are from May 8 to May 27. This includes second, third, fourth and fifth semester exams. The examination of Chartered Accountant will be held between May 5 and May 16. As both the examinations are coming on the same day, there was a concern among the students. Therefore, it was demanded that the university should change the schedule. Rahul Hanwate, a member of the Senate of RTMNU, had raised this issue and demanded the university to change the schedule.
