Nagpur: As many as 24,000 students will be eagerly awaiting their luck for getting free admissions in various schools under the Right to Education (RTE) Act quota, as the lottery process for the same will begin in Nagpur district on Wednesday. However the students will have to wait for the results which will be out only after March 9.
Premchand Raut, coordinator at Sarva Shiksha Abhiyaan (SSA) said, “There are 7,099 seats up for grabs under RTE and in Nagpur we have received 23,462 applications. Parents will receive admission lottery results on their registered mobile numbers by March 9, or at the most by March 10.”
The RTE applications to seats available ratio in Nagpur district was the highest in the entire state.
