Rs 6.5 lakh booty stolen in separate incidents at Pratap Nagar, Sitabuldi

Nagpur: In two incidents of housebreaking reported under the jurisdiction of Pratap Nagar and Sitalbuldi police, burglars decamped with valuables to the tune of over Rs 6.5 lakh from a house and a shop respectively between Nov 9 and 11.

In first incident, 50-year-old complainant Manish Vijay Shah resident of Plot. No. 34, Ravindra Nagar, Parsodi had gone out along with his family to meet a relative between November 9 and 11. In the meantime, some anonymous miscreants broke into his house and fled with cash, gold and silver ornaments worth Rs 4,74,000 kep in the almirah.
The burglary came to fore when complainant returned home, only to find out the ransacked house. He rushed to Pratap Nagar police station and filed a complaint.

In another incident reported under the jurisdiction of Sitabuldi police station, the suspects broke into a cloth shop located in Modi No. 2 and looted valuables worth Rs 2,16,350.

According to complainant Sanket Mukesh Jain (32) resident of Flat No. 201,202 second floor, Vrushab Apartment, Satranjipura, Itwari he left for his home after locking the shop on November 10. When he returned the next day, he found the grill of bathroom window broken and silver idol and cash to the tune of Rs 2.16 lakh were missing from his shop.

Followed by the complaint of Sanket, Sitabuldi police station have registered a case under relevant sections and started the probe.
