Rs 40 lakh found in car during Nakabandi

Nagpur News : With few hours left for Loksabha elections, Dhantoli police while having Nakabandi at Chunnabhatti on Tuesday evening stopped a car ferrying cash Rs 40 lakh.

The car carrying such heavy amount before elections had led tension for few hours. However, on being interrogated, it was learnt that the cash belongs to a private bank and is transferred to other branch.

Police told that a guard, a gunman and a bank staff was present in the car. On questioning them, they produced all the documents of the bank and informed that the cash belongs to bank.

Besides senior police inspector R D Nikam, DCP Zone IV, Chandrashekhar Mina also checked the car and questioning the guard and gunman. Later, the matter was handed over to IT department. After cross check, IT department gave green signal and the car was allowed to go ahead.
