Nagpur: Burglars struck at a medical shop near Mayo Hospital and decamped with Rs 4.50 lakh cash in the intervening night of July 4 and 5. Tehsil police have launched a search for the thieves.
A resident of Block No. 39, near Mahatma Gandhi School, Jaripatka, Prakash Dwarkadas Kalyani (71), told Tehsil police that he runs a medical shop named Shyam Medical Stores near Mayo Hospital. On the night of July 4 night, he closed the shop and went home.
Between 11 pm of July 4 and 7 am of July 5, some unidentified miscreants bent the shutter of the shop and later broke the cash counter. The burglars laid their hands on cash Rs 4.50 lakh kept in nine different drawers of the cash counter.
Tehsil PSI Hinge, based on the complaint of Kalyani, registered a case under Sections 454, 457, 380, 34 of the IPC and launched a search to nab the burglars.
