Rs 3.36 lakh burglary in Jaripatka

burglary 1Nagpur: In yet another house-breaking theft, burglars decamped with booty worth Rs 3.36 lakh when the house owners had been out for some work. The theft took place between 7 pm and 9.30 pm on Sunday under the jurisdiction of Jaripatka police station.

According to reports, Vijay Pramod Bajaj (34) is a resident of Kasturba Nagar, Galli No. 3, Govind Villa Complex. He runs a shop in Jaripatka. On Sunday, he went to his shop along with his wife. Meanwhile, some unidentified thieves entered into the house by breaking open the main door lock. The thieves stole gold ornaments and Rs 2.61 lakh cash that collectively count Rs 3.36 lakh from the wooden almirah of their bedroom. Vijay discovered the theft after they returned from the shop. He immediately informed Jaripatka police about the theft.

Cops reached the spot and registered an offence under Sections 457 and 380 of the IPC against the unknown thieves. Further investigations are under way.
