Nagpur: In two separate actions, the Railway Protection force (RPF) seized 400 bottles of liquor and gutkha worth Rs 10,125 from 12722 Dakshin Express on Wednesday. Although no arrest was made.
Dakshin Express was halting at platform number two at 6 pm on Wednesday. The RPF team entered the general coach of the train and seized three unclaimed bags during the checking. RPF recovered 400 bottles of liquor worth Rs 10,400 from the three bags. The RPF also seized 75 packets of gutkha from an unclaimed bag in the train.
The RPF team, led by Senior DSC Jyotikumar Satija, included PI Wankhede, API HL Meena, GS Adle, Dinesh Singh, SM Gajbhiye, Vikas Sharma, Vivek Kanojia, Arjun Samantrai and Zahid Khan.
