Robbers try to loot youth,flee with empty bag as Cash worth 7 lakhs falls on ground

Nagpur News: In an incident of road robbery that witnessed thrilling action and “hilarious” drama as well, two motorcycle borne persons tried to loot a youth of his Rs 7 lakh at knife point. But the sensational incident ended in the cash lying on the ground, empty bag in the hands of robbers and the handle in the hand of the victim. However, the looters succeeded in snatching the motorcycle of the victim and fleeing the spot with it.

The action filled drama was enacted near the Telangkhedi Garden on Monday afternoon. According to a report, Padmanabh Suresh Ubale, resident of 39, Chakradhar Nagar, works as Cash Pick Up Executive in Ambedkar Square-based Radiant Cash Management Company.

On Monday, Padmanabh collected cash of Rs 6.94 lakh from three places and put it into a bag. He then was passing through Telangkhedi area on his motorcycle (MH-31/BM 6857). At the same time, two motorcycle borne youths accosted Padmanabh and whipped out a knife and asked him to stop. However, one of the robbers, riding the motorcycle (MH-40/W 2772), lost control of the motorcycle that resulted in both looters crashing on the road. Padmanabh, scared by the sudden action and drama, too fell on the road. One of the youths, taking advantage of the situation, tried to snatch the bag containing cash of around Rs 7 lakh from Padmanabh. But due to tight grip on the bag by Padmanabh, the robber succeeded only in grabbing the bag while handle remained in with Padmanabh. And the cash falling on the round at the same time. But the robbers could not notice the cash lying on the ground and fled the spot with the empty bag and Padmanabh’s motorcycle. The motorcycle the youths left is being suspected to be a stolen one.

Sadar police have registered an offence in this connection and launched a hunt to nab the robbers.
