Robbers loot houses in Gittikhadan area

Nagpur News: Gittikhadan Police charged unidentified thieves for two house-breaking thefts in different areas on Friday.

In the first incidence, unidentified youths looted Rs 10,000 cash and gold ornaments worth Rs 2.21 lakh. According to police, the incidence took place on Friday night between 7.30 pm and 11.30 pm. Police said, complainant Chandramohan Chandrashekhar Mishra (46), a resident of Plot No. 210, K T Nagar, Katol Road, had gone to an office party with his family. He was shocked to see the house when he came back.

He immediately informed Gittikhadan police about the theft. Police said, the thieves stole Rs 10,000 cash and gold ornaments worth Rs 2.21 lakh from the almirah of the bedroom. Police registered a case under Sections 457 and 380 of the IPC.

In the second incidence, unidentified thieves looted cash and gold ornaments worth Rs 1.19 lakh from the residence of Prithvi Balkrishna Shukla (32). Prithvi, a resident of Plot No. 201, Yashwardhan Apartment, Anant Nagar, locked his house and went for his work. Meanwhile, unidentified thieves broke open the main door and looted Rs 40,000 cash and gold ornaments worth Rs 1.19 lakh from the almirah.

On the complaint of Prithvi, Gittikhadan police registered a case under Sections 454 and 380 of the IPC.
