The Campus Library of RTMNU is classic example having, not only short of chairs, the chairs available have been in shambles with mesh giving away by constant use of them for years. And since the library is a silent zone, the students without uttering a word sit on the same chairs with shattered mesh, and they realize the side-effect of the chairs with acute pain in the back in the nights.

Nagpur News: A visit by the Nagpur Today scanner to Campus Library of RTMNU on Amravati Road found many skeletons peeping out and pointing out massive irregularities and inaction on the part of Nagpur University.  The books of knowledge in the Campus Library must have been finding themselves uneasy and suffocating in the atmosphere of the hall. Once a place of pride, has now been in shambles.

“ANTIQUE” CHAIRS:

The students visiting the Temple of Books are on the verge of surrendering to the nagging problems being faced by them and no solution in sight. The Nagpur Today scanner was first greeted by the horde of “antique” (Dilapidated) chairs. Any library is a place where the students or citizens visit for gaining more and more knowledge. And they need  the first and the foremost amenity, the chairs notwithstanding how much time they spend in the place.  However, the Campus Library of RTMNU is classic example having, not only short of chairs, the chairs available have been in shambles with mesh giving away by constant use of them for years. And since the library is a silent zone, the students without uttering a word sit on the same chairs with shattered mesh, and they realize the side-effect of the chairs with acute pain in the back in the nights.

The students in hundreds visiting the Campus Library for the purpose of preparing themselves for University exams or competitive exams, have been forced to first undergo the “Endurance Test” by sitting on the chairs of mess for hours together.

CRUCIAL BOOKS “MISSING:”

The “Ancient” Campus Library, the Nagpur Today scanner found, lacked the crucial books for study in the fast changing situations and most needed in the cut-throat competition. With globalization, the requirement of books to deal with the present situation of vast development in almost all competitive fields, has become the need of the hour and hours of study for students. The Nagpur Today scanner found only excuses being doled out for the poor state of affairs in the Campus Library. The Library could have been a “no need” for affordable students. But for weaker section of students, the Campus Library is a Temple of Knowledge and they visit the Temple for competing with other students. But lack of significant books makes them handicapped as far as high quality education is concerned.

rtmnu-libraryTHE LIBRARY VERSION:

NagpurToday scanner spoke to Assistant  Librarian Randiye for the reason of shady affairs he said, “We have sent the quotations and ordered the new chairs for replacing the messy chairs as soon as possible.”

However, some students increased the knowledge of Nagpur Today scanner by explaining that the “Librarian is giving the same explanation since the past 6 months and nothing has been done so far in this connection. Even the toilets are in very bad conditions and there is no drinking water available in the premises.

The libraries, called the treasure of knowledge for all human beings then it may be a Baby Class kid or 100-year old scholar. However, the RTMNU does not deem fit to understand the meaning of a Library.
