Robber arrested, others booked for robbing youth in Wadi area

Nagpur News: Wadi police arrested one and booked other goons for robbing a youth of Rs 500 cash and mobile collectively worth Rs 27,000 under their jurisdiction on Tuesday. Police said, the incident occurred at around 9.45 pm. The victim, Sheikh Imraan Sheikh Kareem (24), a resident of Mhada Colony, Dawlameti, was coming back from work on his Scooty Pep (MH 31 DV 2368). In front of Hanuman Mandir, Damar Company Road, accused Umesh Laxman Tiwari (24), along with his 3-4 mates stopped Imraan Sheikh.

The accused beat Imraan and forcefully snatched Rs 500 cash and a mobile phone from him.

On the complaint of Imraan, Wadi Police registered an offence under Sections 394 and 34 of the IPC and arrested Umesh Tiwari in this regard. Search for other accused is still on.
