Revenge Killing : Youth acquitted from murder charges hacked to death at Motibagh

A 16 year old boy, who was recently set free from murder charges, has been beaten to death near Motibagh Arabi Madarsa in Nagpur. The deceased identified as Ashish Prem Bhiwate is a resident of Motibagh area. Ashish was allegedly killed after repeated attack on him by iron rod and boulders. The murder was reportedly based on revenge theory. The brutal killing is said to be the outcome of revenge by the friends of one Rakesh who was allegedly murdered in October last year by Ashish and his accomplices.

Ashish has been recently aquitted of the charges of Rakesh’s murder. This had enraged the relatives of Rakesh who then planned to avenge their kin’s murder. Sources said those close to Rakesh include Anga Rehman Sheikh, 25, resident of Lashkaribagh, Waseem Sheikh Ismail, 30 and Rasika Begum who were eyeing an opportunity to avenge Rakesh’s murder. On Wednesday evening, they spotted Ashish at a lonely place where they reportedly caught him unaware and attacked him with iron rod, fists and blows. Later they smashed his head with a stone.

As the news spread Jaripatka police arrived at the crime scene though little late. Later in the night, police registered the case against all the accused upon the complaint of 42 year old Saira Begum. Further investigation was on.
