Retired ACP arrested in disproportionate assets case

The ACP Kudre amassed disproportionate assets (Movable and unmovable) to the tune of Rs 10,10,951 during his service period.

Nagpur: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Friday arrested a retired Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) in Disproportionate Assets case. The arrest was the outcome of an open enquiry that was initiated against the ACP for amassing assets disproportionate to his known source of income.

The arrested retired ACP has been identified as Shivprasad Santuramji Kudre. The open enquiry revealed that the ACP Kudre amassed disproportionate assets (Movable and unmovable) to the tune of Rs 10,10,951 over a period from 22.1.1976 to 31.3.2013 other than his known source of income.

Subsequent to the enquiry revelation,  Ajni police registered an offence against the retired ACP Shivprasad Santuramji Kudre under Sections 13(1)(E), 13(2) of Prevention of Corruption Act and placed him under arrest. Cops have launched further investigation into the disproportionate assets case against the retired ACP.

The aforesaid action was initiated by Deputy SP Milind Totre and his team comprising Dharmendra Kale, Komal Bisen, Manoj Karankar, Rajendra Jadhav, and Manohar Doifode under the guidance of Superintendent of Police (ACB) Rajeev Jain.
