Western Coalfields Limited celebrated Republic Day exultantly. Shri. Rajiv Ranjan Mishra, Chairman Cum Managing Director, of WCL, unfurled the National Flag and inspected the ceremonial parade by WCL Security Guards.
Addressing members of Team WCL Shri. Mishra said, to meet out country’s growing energy needs, Ministry of Coal has given responsibility to Coal India Limited to produce 1 billion tons coal in fiscal by 2019-20. WCL family is certainly committed to fulfill this responsibility and WCL is committed to open 10 new projects during 2015. Shri. Mishra explained about the efforts being taken by WCL to increase the production of coal from the current level of 42 MT. tonnes to 60 mill tonnes by 2019-20. He also called upon people to work with full heart towards uplifting society. After address, Shri Mishra distributed prizes to performing Security Personnel.
The celebration was mainly attended by the First lady of WCL and President of Jhankar Mahila Mandal Smt. Anita Mishra, Director Technical (Operation / P&P) Shri. S. S. Malhi, members of steering committee and welfare board, HOD’s, Senior officers, employees, Other members of Team WCL, ladies and children were also present prominently on the occasion. After the performance given by WCL Band & Commandos, number of employees participated in Musical Chair & Tug of war. Beautiful tableau’s were also displayed by various areas of WCL on the occasion.
