Registration process of UGC NET begins

Nagpur: Registration process for the UGC National Eligibility Test (Net) Exam has begun. Candidates clearing NET will be eligible for Junior Research Fellowship or they may be appointed as Assistant Professors. The last date for submitting the online application is 6 April. According to the notice, the examination will be conducted on 8 July, Sunday. Candidates must have passed a Master’s degree with 55% marks or a recognized University-level examination. OBC, Scheduled Tribe (ST) / differently challenged categories and Transgender are exempted of 5% that is if they have masters with 50% marks then they can apply.

Those who are doing their masters and are in the final year, they can also apply. Such candidates must complete Master’s degree or equivalent examination within two years from the date of the net. This time the students have got relief as they have to apper for two papers instead of three.
