A very precious recipe from the sender indeed! As Rashmi Gujjar, Owner and baker at Tingling Tastebuds quotes it, the recipe below serves as her family’s favourite one, and is always a hit.
The recipe being not just savory, is perfect to tickle your tastebuds, especially in the monsoon season.
Whole-wheat dark chocolate orange walnut brownies
200 grams dark chocolate compound chopped
113 grams butter (Preferably salted Amul butter)
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
150 grams powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
3 large eggs
100 grams whole-wheat flour
2 tbps freshly squeezed orange juice
Fresh zest of 2 oranges
150 gms walnuts
1. Preheat oven to 180° C
Grease a square pan, and line the bottom with baking paper.
2. Melt the chocolate and butter using double boiler method.
3. Remove from heat and stir in the cocoa powder and sugar.
4. Now whisk in the vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
5. Finally, stir in the flour, orange zest and chopped walnuts.
Pour into the prepared pan and bake for about 17 – 20 minutes max or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a little batter and a few moist clumps clinging to it.
Please do not over bake.
