Mumbai/Nagpur: The first list of candidates for Maharashtra Assembly elections from Eknath Shinde’s faction of Shiv Sena has been announced. This is the first election that will be contested under Shinde’s leadership, with 45 candidates declared in this initial round. The announcement came through a press release issued by Shinde’s faction of Shiv Sena, following days of discussions within the ruling alliance about seat-sharing arrangements. Earlier, the BJP had released a list of 99 candidates, and Ajit Pawar followed suit by distributing AB forms to 17 candidates. Now, Shinde has revealed his list of 45 candidates, including several sitting MLAs.
Among the notable candidates, Ashish Jaiswal will contest from Ramtek. The list also features prominent names such as:

3. Chandrakant Sonawane – Chopda
4. Gulabrao Patil – Jalgaon Rural
5. Kishor Patil – Pachora

8. Sanjay Gaikwad – Buldhana
9. Sanjay Raimulkar – Mehkar
10. Abhijit Adsul – Daryapur

In Mahim, sitting MLA Sada Sarvankar has been given the ticket, while in Rajapur, Kiran Samant, brother of Uday Samant, has been selected. These selections highlight Shinde’s focus on consolidating key seats ahead of the election.
