d244510-largeNagpur: Excellent show from forward attack of Rahul Sankruttyayan Sports helped them floor District Sports Association of Central Railway 3-0 in their league encounter of Meghe Elite Division Football Tournament organised by Nagpur District Football Association at Police Line Takli ground on Tuesday.

Vaibhav Shirley continued his form in yet another match as he defeated the pumped-up defense of railwaymen to give his team a lead in the seventh minute of the match.

After this goal both the teams matched eachother but none could overpower eachother till the time referee blew whistle for lemon break.

After the break, both the teams kept looking for goal but none could succeed in the first 30-minute of second half. The stalemante was broken in 65th minute when Rahul Bante added another goal to his tally of goals in tourney and doubled the lead of his team. This goal shattered the confidence of railwaymen and they allowed Rahul SS’ Christopher Peter to score third goal of the match in 74th min. Goal-scorer Bante was cautioned just after the goal from Peter.

While, DSACR’s Chetan Khare and Athar Mirza were shown yellow card in first half itself for rash play.

In super division match played at Motibaug ground, Big Ben got the better of Taj Sporting 2-1.

Avinash Tirmale and Rakesh Tiwari scored the two goals in 45 and 67th minutes. While, the lone goal from Taj Sporting came from the foot of Sheikh Karim in 26th minute.

Tak Sporting’s Kalimul Haque was cautioned in 21 and 87th min which led to his ouster at dieing minutes of the match.

Elite Division: Rahul S. S. 3 (Vaibhav Shirley 7th min, Rahul Bante 65th min, Christopher Peter 74th min) beat D. S. A. C. Rly. 0.

Super Division: Big Ben 2 (Avinash Tirmale 45th min, Rakesh Tiwari 67th min) beat Taj Sporting 1 (Sheikh Karim 26th min).
