Nagpur: Kalamna police have booked nine accused including a sub registrar of societies and a lawyer for cheating a retired railway employee.
The complainant Abubakar Siddique Hafiz Abdul Rashid (65) is a retired employee of railways. He had purchased a tract of land at Kalamna from his retirement money.
However, the accused including Sunil Kande, Raju Dhole, Ganer, Maruti, Sayyad Anees, Mehboob painter, Niyamat Sheikh and Shobha in connivance with each other prepared forged documents of the said land. With the help of a lawyer and accused namely Adv. Sona Omprakash Gajbhiye, the above-named accused made a sale-deed of the said land and got the same registered at the office of joint sub registrar A S Ughade, offcourse with the tacit consent of Ughade.
The incident of cheating was brought to light by Adv M I Ansari, who lodged a complaint with the police station and concerned authorities. However, as Adv. Ansari could not get response from any of these authorities, he approached the court of law and obtained an order to register offences againt the culprits in the case.
