Nagpur: Congress President Rahul Gandhi will be visiting Bapukuti at Sewagram on October 2. The Indian National Congress is planning to hold its Working Committee meet at Sewagram near Wardha or in Nagpur on October 2, the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
Congress has reportedly drawn a strategy to send a strong message to BJP as well as RSS by holding the meeting in Sewagram or Nagpur. Congress is also planning a peace march after the marathon meeting.
The State unit of Congress has got active for the visit of Rahul Gandhi. The MPCC President Ashok Chavan has convened a meeting of some select office-bearers from Wardha and Nagpur for preparations of the Congress event.
UPA chief Sonia Gandhi and former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will also be part of the meeting. Through the Jansampark Abhiyan, Congress plans to reach out to people and raise funds.
