Hyderbad: Olympics silver-medalist PV Sindhu1 reaches Hyderabad to a hero’s welcome. Her coach, P Gopichand is with her. They will both take a ride in an open-top bus from the airport to the stadium where she will be felicitated.

School children line up on the road leading from the Hyderabad airport to the GMC stadium where PV Sindhu and her coach P Gopichand will be felicitated. Chants of P-V-Sindhu ring out. Top politicians presented flowers and shawls and clicked selfies with Sindhu at the airport.

Sindhu is the first Indian woman to win a silver medal at the Olympic Games. After the official celebrations are done, her mother said she wants to feed Sindhu biryani and Mysore Pak.
