Nagpur: Distortion of India’s time-tested ancient knowledge and learning institutions was a part of a conspiracy.

The glorious tradition of Indian ancient knowledge was prevalent and is still prevalent across the BharatVarsh, and it is still widely being practised. With the invasion of British rule, widespread malicious propaganda was fabricated to bring a bad name to the scientific-based knowledge of India to never resurrect its strikingly ancient repository of knowledge.

Its attack on Indian culture, knowledge and time tested traditions was none other than the part of a big conspiracy to push Indian into a vicious circle for its vested interest, said Jayant Sahashtrabudhe, National organisational Secretary of Vidyan Bharati.

He was speaking on the program Freedom Movement and the Role of Science jointly organised by Nagpur Vidyapith Shikshan Manch and Vidhyan Bharati Vidharbh Pradesh Mandal.

He highlighted that the Indian freedom movement was fought in sync with the protection of the Indian scientific legacy. Distortion of Indian history by British rule caused irreparable damage to the psyche of the Indian people. The British empire knew that unless we made the Indian people cast aspersions on their own culture, languages, literature and fine age-old institutions of learnings, we wouldn’t succeed in conquering India. Worldwide popularly known as Nalanda, Takshshila Universities burnt down to halt the Indian legacy of imparting knowledge across the globe. It was a deliberate attempt of invaders as a part of a larger conspiracy to strike a blow on centres of faith by dismantling temples, pilgrimages, shrines and hermitages.

Dr Kalpanda Pande, president of Nagpur Vidyapith Shikshan Manch, emphasised that renaissance and resurrection of forgotten glorious Indian culture have been initiated as the need of time to make India itself once again the world leader in every walk of life. Ayurveda, Yoga are just successful examples, many more Indian time-proven Indian glories are lined up to be embraced all over the world.

Vice-chancellor Dr Shriniwash Warkhedi, Vice-chancellor Dr Subhash Choudhari, Dr Shirish Wate, Vidharbha President of Vidhyan Bharati, shared their thoughts on the occasion. Dr Prakash Itankar conducted the program and Dr Satish Chafle proposed the vote of thanks.

The people from science and technology fields attended the program in a large number.
