Nagpur: Mystery shrouded the death of an 11-year old boy in the Nandanvan police area. The family members of the deceased alleged murder by some anti-socials of the area. The family members and relatives gheraoed the police station and demanded registration of an offence under Section 302 of IPC against the accused persons.
The deceased was identified as Bobby alias Vanshasheel Harshawardhan Doifode, a resident of Plot No. 98, Old Bagadganj. Vanshasheel was the only son of Bahujan Samaj Party leader Harshawardhan Doifode.
According to reports, the boy was taken to a hospital after he complained of pain on Thursday night. Then he told his mother that he was bashed up by some anti-socials of the area. Later, the boy got discharged from the hospital. The parents again rushed him to another hospital when he complained of uneasiness. During treatment, the boy breathed his last.
A case of accidental death was registered by Nandanvan police.
However, alleging the role of some goons in the death of the boy, the family members and relatives gathered at the police station. The agitators demanded registration of an offence under Section 302 of IPC against the accused persons.
Nandanvan police are awaiting the post-mortem and would launch an in-depth investigation thereafter.
