
Nagpur: President of India Droupadi Murmu left for Rajasthan from Nagpur Airport on Thursday, marking the next phase of her multi-state tour covering Maharashtra, Jharkhand and Rajasthan from February 24 to 27.
The President arrived in Nagpur on February 25 to attend a major spiritual event organised by the Brahma Kumaris, as part of the state-level launch of the initiative “Golden Era of Maharashtra through Unity and Trust.” Earlier the same day, she also graced the National Arogya Fair 2026 held at Shegaon in Buldhana district.
On the same day, President Murmu travelled from Nagpur to Jamshedpur, where she participated in the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony of the upcoming Sri Jagannath Temple, organised by the Shri Jagannath Spiritual & Cultural Charitable Centre Trust. She also visited Manipal TATA Medical College to interact with students.
After completing her engagements in Jharkhand, the President returned to Nagpur and proceeded to depart for Rajasthan from Nagpur Airport on Thursday morning.
State Governor Acharya Devvrat, Air Marshal Yella Umesh, Major General N. S. Sohal, Divisional Commissioner Vijayalakshmi Bidari, Police Commissioner Ravinder Kumar Singal, District Collector Dr. Vipin Itankar and other dignitaries were present at the airport to see her off.
According to the official schedule, President Murmu will witness Ex Vayushakti, the Indian Air Force’s firepower and capability demonstration, at Pokhran, Rajasthan on February 27.
Her four-day tour began on February 24 in Mumbai, where she inaugurated the nationwide health campaign “Saving Lives and Building a Healthier Bharat,” organised by PD Hinduja Hospital at Lok Bhavan.
