Pravin Tarde Pays Courtesy Visit to Pivli Marbat Pavilion in Nagpur

मारबत महोत्सव : प्रवीण तरडे यांची पिवळी मारबत मंडपाला सदिच्छा भेटNagpur: Renowned actor, director and writer Pravin Tarde, along with actress Snehal Tarde, paid a courtesy visit on Friday to the Pivli Marbat festival pavilion in Tandapeth, a symbol of Nagpur’s historic and cultural traditions. They performed a traditional puja of the Marbat on the occasion.

The Nagpur Municipal Corporation has begun preparations for this year’s Marbat and Badgya festival. Under the guidance of Mayor Nita Thakre and the supervision of Deputy Mayor Lila Hathibed, Standing Committee Chairperson Shivani Dani Vakhre, ruling party leader Narendra (Balya) Borkar, Municipal Commissioner Dr. Vipin and Sports Special Committee Chairperson Darshani Dhawad, preparations for the festival have gathered pace.

The festival is being organised by the municipal corporation based on the concept of Standing Committee Chairperson Shivani Dani Vakhre. Dignitaries from the national and international levels are being invited to the festival. As part of this initiative, Pravin Tarde and Snehal Tarde visited the Pivli Marbat pavilion in Tandapeth.

An integral part of Nagpur’s folk tradition

The annual Pivli Marbat festival is organised by the Tarhane Teli community through the Nagooba Marbat Temple in Tandapeth. The festival, a symbol of Nagpur’s rich folk tradition and cultural heritage, holds special significance in the city’s history.

During the visit, Pravin Tarde learned about the historical and cultural tradition of Pivli Marbat, the significance of the festival and its place in Nagpur’s folk culture. He appreciated the efforts being made to preserve this historic tradition.

Pravin Tarde and Snehal Tarde then performed a traditional puja of Pivli Marbat and extended their best wishes for the festival.
