Nagpur: In an unusual development, citizens of Prabhag 29 Narsala-Hudkeshwar have strongly demanded BJP to field a candidate they have chosen for the next NMC polls.
Addressing a press conference, the citizens demanded that the hardworking and honest Shekhar Ashokrao Dantale be given ticket for the next NMC election. “We don’t trust other candidates. Dantale is carrying out social and also ensuring development of the Prabhag since the many years. Dantale was not interested in contesting the poll but we forced him to file the nomination papers. We want a candidate with clean image, educated, having understanding of social as well as developmental issues. We want to send such honest candidate to NMC,” the citizens said.
“BJP’s motto is ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas.’ Shekhar Dantale is committed to development. He has fought for roads, sewer lines, streetlights, drinking water problems, police post, playground for children, garden etc despite holding no post in any political party,” they said.
The citizens further said that they trust BJP. The party will not discriminate in distributing tickets for the NMC poll. The party should announce candidature of the candidate chosen by the citizens.
Those present at the press conference include Prakash Yerpude, Dnyaneshwar Sapat, Shrikrushna Wankhede, Rajkumar Verma, Kishore Lende, Satish Dubey, Dhananjay Joshi, Rajan Deshpande, Pritam Bante, Ravindra Bankar, Vrushali Joshi, Panchfula Mondhe, Kalpana Kombe, Monali Hatewar and other members of Narsala Sudharak Samiti.
