Popular Marathi drama ‘Swami Vivekananda’ to be staged in Dubai

The drama is written and produced by Nagpurians and the talent of Nagpur is all set to go international.

IMG-20140417-WA0005Nagpur Today: Popular Marathi drama ‘Swami Vivekananda’ which is produced by Radhika Creations of the city is all set to go international. After 109 successful shows staged across the country the drama will be staged in Dubai in the month of April. The team has received an invitation from Dubai. Follower of Swami Vivekananda Ashok Odharani from Dubai has taken initiative to organize the shows in Dubai.

Producer Sanjay Pendse told Nagpur Today that the team of 20 artists is going to Dubai for the show. Pendse told that the two shows are scheduled on April, 23 and April, 24, 2014 at Indian Islamic School, Dubai. Many prominent personalities from Dubai would attend the shows.

The play is written by Shubhangi Bhadbhade of the city and directed by Sarika Pendse. The drama is acclaimed all over the country for last two years. Young actor   Sahil Patwardhan plays role of Swami Vivekanand in his earlier days while noted actor Anil Palkar plays the matured Vivekananda in the play. Other members of the team include Deepali Ghonge, Rohini Phatak, Dr Piyush Wankhede, Jayant Pathak. Ajinkya Dev, Niranjan Kokardekar, Kalyan Pendsey, Jyoti Kokardekar. Kirti Manegaokar,  Atul Shebe, Abhishek Kane, Shantanu Mangrulkar, and Radhika Deshpande. Light effects are provided by Kishor Battase while back ground music is being arranged by Dr Sanjay Wankar.
