    ‘Poor mental state’ leads teacher to commit suicide in school


    Chandrapur: A woman teacher of a private school committed suicide by hanging herself to the roof of the school building in Bhadrawati on Wednesday.

    The deceased, identified as Lalita Venkatesh Dasre (36), has left a suicide note stating that she took the extreme step because of her poor mental state.

    Dasre was a teacher at Macaroon Students Academy in Bhadrawati. After arriving for the morning shift on Wednesday, the 26-year-old reached the top floor of the under-construction part of the school building. She hanged herself to the pillar rods emerging from the rooftop using her scarf.

    A large crowd gathered at the site after the news spread like wildlife in the town.

    On receiving information, the Bhradrawati police immediately reached the spot and took the deceased’s body for conducting post mortem.
