Polytechnic emerging best option to students in their quest to follow the stars, lifetime jobs

Talking to NagpurToday, Prof Deepak S Kulkarni, Principal of Government Polytechnic, Nagpur, said, “There are many diploma courses available to choose after Class 10-level education. Some of our unique courses like Packaging Technology, Metallurgical Engineering and Mining and Mine Surveying are available in very few colleges in Maharashtra.” The institute in Nagpur has a very good rapport with industries. It has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with leading companies like TVS Motors, Bosch, Tata Motors and Ashok Leyland which facilitates jobs to students of their choice,” said Principal Kulkarni.

“These companies have their workstations and testing centres in Nagpur wherein their dealers and technicians are given training by the Government Polytechnic faculties. Experts from these companies give on hand experience to the students,” informed Kulkarni.

“The core knowledge of the subject and on-hand exposure that the students get are very job-oriented. There are a good number of polytechnic colleges in Nagpur like Anjuman Polytechnic and Datta Meghe Polytechnic that offer various polytechnic courses.  Even students who could clear their Class 12 examination can go for polytechnic courses. Government Polytechnic runs some vocational education programmes like Computer(Laptop) Service profession, mobile phone repairing & maintenance, Web Designing & 2D Animation and many other job-oriented courses,” said Prof Deepak S Kulkarni, Principal of Government Polytechnic, Nagpur.
