Podar World School relives Saints of Maharashtra at its 8th annual concert

Nagpur: Podar World School,Nagpur has celebrated its 8th Annual Concert – titled “Maharashtra – land of Saints” recently with great zeal & enthusiasm.

Honoring and appreciating the achievers with accolades, annual concert and prize distribution function for session 2018-19 was held at Vasanrao Deshpande Hall here.

The function was graced by the welcome dance by tiny tots of Grade 1 followed by Ganesh Vandana by Grade 2 students.
Key note of the Chairman Mr. Raghav Podar was displayed in the beginning of the programme. The function named “Maharashtra – land of Saints” , included a series of thematic performances ranging from devotion to family values, patriotism, unity in diversity, parental love, social issues, education, equality, cleanliness, caste equality and many more. The programme depicted varied stories of Saints, dramatized by the students of the school from primary to secondary section. The events had varied song, dance & drama representations of various Saints of Maharashtra like Tukadoji Maharaj, Baba Tajuddin, Gadge Maharaj, Gajanan Maharaj, Sant Dyaneshwar, Samarth Ramdas, Sant Namdev, Sai Baba, and Sant Tukaram.

Event was followed by classwise prize distribution. It was heartening to observe the merit of the students getting recognized as Scholar of the year, good citizen (Primary, Secondary ), Student of the year (Primary, Secondary) and 100% attendance (Primary, Secondary )

A galaxy of dignitaries graced the occasion as guests of honor. Editor in chief of Nagpur Today Mr. S.N. Vinod, presided as the Chief guest. Commencing on a devotional note, the celebration embraced various facets of society and culture.

Principal Mr. Yogendra Katare presented the annual report for the session 2018-19. He also appreciated efforts of teachers &students to make it a fabulous event.

The most memorable moments of the function were marked by the precious words of advice and appreciation by the chief guest during an address to the parents. Overall, the celebrations concluded on a happy note encouraging the students to establish further milestones in the journey of success.
