PM’s Mudra Yojana Loan Melava gets overwhelming response from young entrepreneurs

The Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Yojana Loan Melava being organised at the sidelines of Youth Empowerment Summit at Vasantrao Deshpande Hall received an overwhelming from young entrepreneurs. The youths were guided by representatives of 20 nationalised and private banks on starting their own businesses. Under the PM’s Mudra Yojana, children can get loan up to Rs 50,000, teenagers can get loan up to Rs 5 lakh, and youngsters can get loan up to Rs 10 lakh on easier terms.

The three-day Youth Empowerment Summit is being organised at Vasantrao Deshpande Hall on the joint auspices of Fortune Foundation and Nagpur Municipal Corporation. An independent stall has been set up at the premises by Mudra Bank District Coordination Committee under the guidance of District Collector Sachin Kurve. The event is being held till March 26.

In an effort to halt migration of Vidarbha youths to other parts of the state in search of jobs, the mega event is being held to showcase opportunities available in the region. A brain child of MLC Prof Anil Sole, the three-day event will nurture entrepreneurs and guide job applicants.

The Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Loan Melava anf Youth Empowerment Summit was inaugurated by Maharashtra Skill Development Minister Sambhaji Patil Nilangekar. Other dignitaries present on the occasion include Mayor Nanda Jichkar, Municipal Commissioner Shravan Hardikar, and others.

The banks that are participating in the event include State Bank of India, Bank of Maharashtra, Allahabad Bank, Bank of India, Bank of Baroda, Central Bank of India, Canara Bank, IDBI Bank, Corporation Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, Dena Bank, Syndicate Bank, UCO Bank, Vijaya Bank, Union Bank, Vidarbha Konkan Gramin Vikas Bank, HDFC, ICICI Bank, and Axis Bank.


On March 26 at 10 am, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will speak on Youth Empowerment for Human Development. Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule will remain present. Rajesh Dhabre, Director General, Babasaheb Ambedkar Research and Training Institute (BARTI), Pune will throw light on the opportunities for backward class students. Rajkumar Badole, Social Justice Minister will preside over.


On March 27 at 10 am Union Minister Nitin Gadkari will deliver speech on ‘Innovation and Motivation’. Shrikant Bhartiya, Officer on Special Duty to Chief Minister will speak on Communication Skills while Shravan Hardikar, Municipal Commissioner will speak on ‘Adaptability; A Mantra for success at 1 pm. Prof Anil Sole said, “The Summit will guide students about what they need to do to be ready for the coming economic boom. We know that Vidarbha is now poised for growth because of the political opportunity we have got.”
