New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi flags off Run for Unity in the national capital today to mark the birth anniversary of Sardar Patel.
Sportspersons Dipa Karmakar, Suresh Raina, Sardara Singh, and Karnam Malleswari are also present with PM Modi at the ‘Run for Unity’ event.
Addressing the crowds, the PM says, “We remember Sardar Patel on his birth anniversary. We are proud of his contribution to India before we attained freedom and during the early years after we became independent.
“India is a country full of diversity, unity in diversity is our speciality.”
