From the airport, the PM left for Shri Saibaba Samadhi Temple Complex where he is scheduled to attend the valedictory function of the Sai Baba Samadhi centenary celebrations. The PM will also address a gathering and unveil commemorative silver coins. Besides, he will also hand over the keys of houses to some beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY).

Earlier on Thursday, the centenary celebrations, which were inaugurated by President Ram Nath Kovind, ended in the holy city of Shirdi.

The PM is also scheduled to attend the ‘bhumi pujan’ of a 10 MW solar power system worth Rs 40 crore. Later, he will even inaugurate a Rs 158 crore hi-tech educational complex which will house a school, college, auditorium, playground, library and laboratory.

He would also lay the foundation stone of a Rs 166 crore Sail Knowledge Park which would have a museum and a theme park. The PM will also perform the ground breaking ceremony of a Rs 112 crore worth hall that will be built to enable the devotees attend Sai darshan as it would directly be connected with Sai samadhi through a skywalk.

Following this, PM Modi will attend the e-griha pravesh ceremony for 40,000 beneficiaries of the affordable housing scheme of the government.

Meanwhile, Leader of Opposition in Maharashtra Legislative Council Dhananjay Munde on Tuesday alleged that the Maharashtra government is spending Rs 2 crore to bring beneficiaries for the October 19 function. The state government has allocated Rs 2 crore and given targets for its officers to identify and escort the beneficiaries to the event, he claimed.

“None of the government schemes are reaching the target group. So now they’ve opted for false promotion of the schemes, with elections approaching,” he alleged.
